The Nutcracker, Christmas show in Oradea
Before Christmas, on December 23, at 6:00 p.m., a new charity ballet performance will be organized at the Oradea Culture House.The donations that will be collected on site and a part of the money raised for the show will be sent to the Amia – Soul of a Child Association. The objective of the association is to support materially and emotionally abandoned children in hospitals and foster care centers.
Anette Classic Dance Studio Oradea organizes ballet performances in Oradea where students enrolled in ballet classes participate. For 8 years the dance club deepened the world of ballet, the students managing to assimilate both numerous variations from well-known operas and improvisations from the world of lyrical or thematic dance. Part of the ballet students participated in numerous competitions, national and international, obtaining numerous prizes.
The children, through their work and talent, contributed to the activities of associations concerned with the well-being of cancer patients and their relatives.
For the audience to see the Nutcracker ballet again, the dance club decided to re-stage this wonderful opera.
The original opera was created by the romantic Russian composer Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky.
The staging and choreography were made by Toth Ana Maria, and the cast includes children and adults between the ages of 8 and 56, most of them have been in the ballet world for over 3-4 years, respectively 7-8 years.
The text of the musical opera was created by Marius Petipa, after Alexandre Dumas’ version of E. T. A. Hoffmann’s fairy tale “The Nutcracker and the Mouse King”.
